In fact, just to for single mode fiber. Looking on fs.com, single mode cables are slightly cheaper, and the optics (for 10G) are $30 to MMF's $25.

And you get much better future proofing with SMF. And if you do need a long fast run, SMF is what you want.

Cameras and screens. /s mostly

(Before Linode was acquired) I called in and quickly got on the phone with a live human who was very familiar with the product and helpful, and sounded (accent) like US-based support.

At the time I was paying $12/month IIRC.

Me neither, but I found the $3 option with an even quicker glance.

You can buy used ICE cars for $10k easy.

Like really really easy.

Apologies if I missed your point.

I've encountered control systems and PID controls, and I still find PID elegant and cool.

Print - sign - scan. I've never been told to keep the physical print out.

I've also never had someone refuse my too-perfect digitally inserted signature, but I could totally see it happening.

Oh and I don't like signing stuff anywhere, so I also used my scanned signature and got a custom stamp made. :)

$30/quarter, so ~300 pages. Also noticed that the fee is capped at $3/document, but I don't know how often a single document is longer then 30 pages.

Thanks, I think they raised the limit in the last few years and I forgot.

I have definitely gone over the limit for single documents in the past, although I've never been over the quarterly waiver limit. Judicial opinions and hearing trancripts often exceed 30 pages.

Ya I think they meant 'GPS'.

I've encountered flibbertigibbet and Brobdingnagian. Never encountered hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia before, at least I don't remember encountering it.

Flibbertigibbet appears in some of the Little House on the Prairie (Laura and Mary) books, if I remember right.

And I've also read Gulliver's Travels which is where Brobdingnagian comes from. Brobdingnag was a land of giants. Pretty sure I've seen the word used elsewhere though.

I knew Flibbertigibbet from the sound of music:

MARGARETTA: How do you find a word that means Maria?

BERTHE: A flibberti gibbet!

SOPHIA: A willo' the wisp!

MARGARETTA: A clown!
