Ironically "creativity is the new moat" is one of the least creative takes I can imagine on AI.

It looks great. When I first saw it, I thought "this color can't be beet"

I think it's helpful to have a deep understanding of one c-type language, one lisp, and one ML-type language. There are so many things influenced by these three language families that being comfortable with them makes it so much easier to understand a wide variety of languages and libraries.

Ocaml is ancient at this point. It's never going to be python, but I doubt it's going to disappear.

We were not allowed to have graphing calculators in elementary or highschool (90s), either.

I was in school around that time and I always had a graphing calculator in class and most of the time in standardized tests, AP tests, etc. It was basically just math competitions that wouldn't allow it. The graphing functionality was almost never used for anything. But the multi-line display could be used for notes, which is why they were banned for competitions.

Yeah, not us. If our calculators had more than one line or a suspicious number of buttons, it was disallowed in class.

A dark horse named Lux.
