Yes, I endorse his research. As a Taiwanese, I use Traditional Chinese daily in Taiwan, primarily on computers and mobile phones, but I can’t write many of the Chinese characters he mentioned in the article.
I can share a more personal story: after spending a year studying abroad in Britain, I almost forgot how to write Chinese characters—even my own name—since I hadn't written any for over a year! However, when I returned to Taiwan, I was able to recall most of them within minutes. I consider this a temporary phenomenon that fades quickly with focus and a bit of practice.
Good point. And why don't you just unplug your computer and do all your stuff on your paper and pen? I believe it's the most secure way to protect your data. Remember to store these paper in your basement and bring your key.
From my experience, most of time it gives good and clear answers if you use it as a normal search engine rather than a real human that is able to chat with you for something strange and boring phiolosophical problems.
Ah yeah I've had requests to support other characters though unfortunately quite a few of the calculations are passed through to mathjs, which has trouble supporting non latin characters.
It's on the list though but unfortunately due to how integral mathjs is to the app it might not be an easy change to make!
