What would be REALLY vaulable would be a 141% enlarge mode. Ie since the screens are the same ratio there is no reason that when open it could just display exactly the same except larger. This is a piece of piss to program if they haven’t already put it in accessibility settings. This feature alone would drive certain demographics to this device.

I had a 12 mini and although batt life could be a complaint for me it was fine since i charged in car on cummute 2x a day and was never farther 10 feet from a charger if required so it actually worked really well. This is the same argument EV proponents make when people complain about lack of card with 500 mile range. In practical terms its just very rarely actually needed.

I guess but an EV costs $30k+ but an iphone 13 mini costs like $200 and a brand new battery for it from apple costs $100

Im not talking about cost im talking about relative size of batterys.

Gun, possibly?

Mounting, wedging, steering uphill, forcing the head into a turn, etc. Tripping and especially firearms were used as a last resort, there's plenty of ways to do that without permanently injuring or killing the horse.

Sorry yes. I see what was meant now.

You need plex pass to do this now. They changed it recently you didnt used to need it.

I have had lifetime pass about ten years.

Matrox used to have the best back in the day. Ai were ok and Nvidia were the worst. Even a lay person could see that difference between the tnt out put vs a millenium. It was so great that i used to use an older matrox card think it was the g450 since it worked great under Linux and the pq was amazing.

Yes. Matrox was very good. But so were later Voodoo3. I know, because I've driven a https://crtdatabase.com/crts/hitachi/hitachi-superscan-21-cm... with it.

At 1600x1200@75Hz. Crystal clear and sharp.

I also had something by ELSA with a S3 and a translucent blue RAMDAC by IBM. Same thing. But only 2MB VRAM, and PCI. So only useful for testing purposes.

Regarding the usability under Linux, or rather support by XFree86, Matrox accelerated some graphics primitives in the DDX-layer, or whatever that was called then. So did the Voodoo3's! Independently of that Glide stuff for 3D.

Really nice to have.

It shouldnt be blurry unless its a 1440p screen running at 1080..

macOS looks pretty awful on non-high DPI screens because of the way fonts are antialiased. (Actually, same with modern windows at this point)

Yeah I’m on macOS.

I guess they meant "blurry" in the sense of "jagged", from using fonts that are 6 pixels wide at a reasonable point size on a 27-inch monitor.

No, just normal font sizes, macOS. 14pt looks huge, had to lower it to 12pt to look physically about the same as 14pt on a 4K/5K 27”, but at that physical size it’s a blurry mess due to low ppi.

Edit: Oh I misread your comment as 6 pixels large, not 6 pixels wide. Yes, you’re correct.

I had to temporarily use a 1080p monitor, and forcing a higher resolution was the only way to get enough info on screen to do what I needed to do productively despite the blur.

What was the task?

Why use any? Why force yourself to comply with the arbitrary limitations imposed by some third party somehwere. For what?

Because otherwise you're having online discourse with yourself.

I found Thimbleweed Park 1 very difficult. The puzzles were too hard. I didn't complete it. I tried to play it with my girlfriend, I thought it would be a nice game to work together to play/solve. It stumped both of us. No fun.
