Is there any confirmation if next year we should see macOS 12 or 11.1?

I hope it’s the former, as that will make yearly updates to macOS more consistent with iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

Perhaps it’ll improve the security patch situation we have now where they differ by just build numbers, though.
