This project is based off of Jorge Luis Borges' short story, The Library of Babel, about a library filled with books that contain every possible permutation of the 23 basic letters. This sea of information, containing within it all human knowledge, past, present, and future, drives the occupants mad searching for some sort of meaning.

The website here is a digitization of Borges' infinite library, made possible by nice, modern algorithms. Any text found in any location of the library will be in the same place in perpetuity.
